The weather is warming up and your children will be spending a lot more time in the sun!

As Recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, the best line of defense against the sun is covering up and limiting sun exposure during peak intensity hours between 10am-2pm.  On both sunny ad cloudy days you should apply a broad spectrum sunscreen, which means it protects against both UVS and UVB rays, with SPF of at least 30, including before school.  Clouds do not bock UV rays that can cause sunburn,  because of the many allergies and skin sensitivities to sunscreen, I would defer to your pediatrician with which sunscreen to use.

I am recommending that you apply our choice of sunscreen before sending your child to school.  The preschool staff  is not equipped to apply sunscreen to each child before going outside.  If you have an additional question or concerns, feel free to contact me.  732-428-8409
